Hi there – I’m Matt. I am the father of Lucas Henry, our precious baby boy who was born still in November 2020, at 34 weeks and 2 days. My wife Kelly and I call him Luke. Thank you so much for visiting my blog.
More on me
I’m in my mid-thirties, very happily married to my beautiful wife, Kelly. We call Virginia home.
I like to run, write, play video games, watch esports (go Team Liquid), play soccer, and play with our cat, Eevee. For work, I focus on customer experience and marketing.
I am the father to our son, Luke, who did not take a live breath but lives on in our hearts forever.

On this blog
In this blog, I hope to find a path to my own healing while also helping others to understand grief a bit better. I’ve found that grief is still such a taboo topic, especially related to infant loss, and want to bring it more into the light. For many grieving, doing so in silence is worse than being out in the open.
If you are grieving or know someone who is grieving, maybe this will help.
Thank you for reading and following our journey of grief with us. It is not a road anyone would choose to be on, but we are walking it as best we can. And thank you for remembering Luke with us.
